Your perfect wedding day has arrived with the
sun shining, your hair looking stunning, and your dress fitting like a dream, but what are you going to use to get you to the
church on time? According to women's car insurance specialist Diamond, most women in the UK would shun the modern world by
opting for a horse and carriage to arrive in style.
Diamond asked over 1000 women what their dream mode of
wedding transport would be and almost 30% of them chose a horse and carriage. Second most popular was a classic Rolls Royce
followed by the more modern solution of a stretched limousine.
Commenting on these findings, Diamond Managing
Director, Sian Lewis, said, "You want every part of your wedding day to be wonderful and of course you want to make a
grand entrance. These results show that the fairytale idea of arriving in a horse and carriage appeals to the modern woman.
However, they may want to opt for one with a roof with our unpredictable weather!"
At the other end of the
scale, the least popular wedding mode of transport was a Morris Minor, followed closely by a Harley Davidson motorbike and a
Range Rover.
Sian continued, "Maybe Diamond should consider insuring horse and carriages, as there seems to be
a market out there!"
