A South Wales insurer is sponsoring a local youth theatre
at Port Talbot's Princess Royal Theatre.
Swansea based insurer Diamond, which specialises in motor
insurance for women, is sponsoring Port Talbot youth theatre's performance
of Oliver this year. The show will run from the 25th to the 27th October,
and will feature up to 60 children on stage.
The sponsorship by Diamond comes from a fund established
by the company's chief executive, Henry Engelhardt. The fund provides
financial support for staff that are involved with local organisations.
Mr Engelhardt said, "Many of our staff are involved
with organisations in the community, and as a large local employer, we
try to help whenever we can."
Joanne Grey 14, who's father Paul, works in Diamond's Sales
department, will be performing in Oliver. Joanne has been a playing member
at the youth theatre for the last two years.
Diamond's sponsorship will aid with the running of the
show costs, which have to be met by the youth theatre.
Tickets to see Oliver cost £5.50 and are available
from Port Talbot's Princess Royal Theatre. Performances begin at 7pm.
