At Diamond we understand that everyone is different. That's why we can help you to tailor your car insurance cover to your individual needs. We want to make sure that if something happens to you, you and your car are covered. That's why we offer a range of additional covers to choose from: Personal Injury cover; Hire Car cover and Breakdown cover.

Personal Injury cover

Your Diamond policy includes as standard £5,000 of personal injury cover* and we would also like to give you the option to extend this by up to £30,000.

*Comprehensive policies only

Our Personal Injury Cover provides you and your named drivers* under the age of 75 with up to £30,000 for serious injury or death as a result of an accident in your car. And as even more cover for the Policyholder, this benefit is extended to travelling in any other privately insured car within the UK as well.

Some of the benefits include:

	£30,000 cover for accidental death
	Up to £30,000 for a serious injury suffered in the car
	Protection for the policyholder and named drivers, as the driver or as a passenger in your car
	The cover applies regardless of whether the accident is your fault or not

This policy pays out alongside any other life insurance you may have, and also covers you if you're hit by an uninsured driver. Personal Injury Cover gives you the peace of mind that there'll be protection there for you and your family, when you need it most.

How long does my Personal Injury Cover last?

Your Personal Injury Cover runs alongside your Diamond motor insurance policy. This means that the cover will normally last for either 12 or 10 months (depending on whether you have a standard or a bonus accelerator motor insurance policy).

*Named drivers are covered whilst travelling in, mounting into or dismounting from the Insured Vehicle which is being driven by an Insured Person. Policyholder is covered whilst travelling in, mounting into or dismounting from the Insured Vehicle which is being driven by an Insured Person as well as whilst travelling in, mounting into or dismounting from any other private car within the UK.
