Diamond/TescoCompare Prize Draw

Terms and Conditions:

1. The prize draws are open only to UK residents aged 17 or over, who after obtaining a quote for Diamond via the TescoCompare website have, based on their TescoCompare quote, subsequently taken out a car insurance policy with Diamond between May 1st 2008 and June 26th 2008. Diamond customers that fulfil these criteria will be automatically entered into the prize draws.

2. To be eligible for the prize draws entrants must be the policyholder of the policy.

3. Through entering the prize draw entrants are giving Diamond consent to contact them should they be a prize winner. Further to this Diamond’s standard Privacy Policy will apply.

4. The prize is one year of free car insurance provided and distributed by EUI Limited, trading as Diamond (Reg. address: Capital Tower, Greyfriars Road, Cardiff, CF10 3AZ) and will be based on the same standard and terms of policy as the prize winner was insured under at the time of taking out their policy with Diamond. If the prize winner paid the full policy premium to Diamond at the point of policy purchase, the amount paid for the car insurance policy, and if applicable any car insurance ancillary products, shall be refunded to the prize winner. If the prize winner elected to pay by direct debit/monthly instalments at the point of policy purchase any upfront car insurance policy payments, and if applicable any upfront car insurance ancillary products payments, made to Diamond shall be refunded to the customer and any monthly instalments due for the remainder of the policy term shall be cancelled.

5. Each prize of one year of free Diamond car insurance provided by EUI Limited is subject to the following terms:

   1. Each prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternative is available.

   2. Named drivers may only be added to a prize winner’s free year of Diamond car insurance if they were on cover at the time the prize winner took out their policy with Diamond. An additional charge will be levied for any new drivers.

   3. Each prize of one year of free Diamond car insurance will be subject to a policy excess in the event of any claim being made on the policy.

   4. Should a prize winner make an endorsement to their policy, including but not limited to change of address, change of vehicle, vehicle modification, change to class of use, an additional charge may be levied and the prize winner shall be liable to pay this charge.

   5. Should a prize winner want to add any additional ancillary products to their car insurance policy, which weren’t included when the customer originally took out their car insurance policy with Diamond, each ancillary product will have to be purchased separately by the prize winner.

   6. Each prize winner’s year of free Diamond car insurance will start with effect from each prize winner’s policy start date, as specified when each prize winner originally set up their car insurance policy with Diamond.

   7. If a prize winner took out a Diamond 10-month Bonus Accelerator policy at the point of policy purchase, EUI Limited shall provide like for like car insurance policy cover subject to these terms and conditions, however should the prize winner want to take up a standard 12-month Diamond policy instead, EUI Limited shall provide this cover subject to both these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions of a standard Diamond 12-month policy.

6. 1. Entries submitted in accordance with clause 1 above between May 1st 2008 and June 26th 2008 will be included in the prize draws.

   2. The draws will take place on May 8th 2008, May 15th 2008, May 22nd 2008, May 29th 2008, June 5th 2008, June 12th 2008, June 19th 2008 and June 26th 2008. There are 8 prizes of one year of free Diamond car insurance to be given away (1 prize to be given away each week during each of the 8-weeks of the prize draw period).

   3. Each weekly prize draw will take place under independent supervision.

7. The winners will be drawn at random by an independent adjudicator and notified by telephone, email or letter within 21 days of the draw date. If EUI Limited are unable to contact the winner within 21 days of each draw date this may result in forfeiture of the prize and EUI Limited reserves the right to select another prize winner at random (in which case the same contact process will apply). Similarly, if any entrant is found not to have complied fully with these terms then EUI Limited reserves the right to disqualify them and EUI Limited may select another winner at random. EUI Limited reserves the right in its sole discretion to withhold awarding of the prize until proof of eligibility and identity has been confirmed. If satisfactory proof is not produced on request EUI Limited reserves the right to disqualify the entrant and select another winner. EUI Limited shall be entitled to recover any prize awarded if it subsequently transpires that the winner was not entitled to it.

8. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them. The laws of England and Wales govern these terms and conditions.

9. The decision of EUI Limited on all matters will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

10. Neither EUI Limited nor its suppliers or agents in connection with this promotion will be liable for entries that are lost or go astray, or for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network or other connections which may limit or prevent a customer’s ability to participate in the draw, whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server failure, viruses, bugs or other causes outside EUI Limited’s control. EUI Limited cannot promise that the site and other services relating to the promotion will be free from errors or omissions, or that they will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operational condition throughout the promotion period. Services and/or entry into the promotion may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the event of system failure, maintenance or repair or for causes reasonably beyond EUI Limited’s control. However nothing in these Terms will limit EUI Limited’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud.

11. Entries submitted through agents or third parties or in bulk will be ineligible as will multiple entries in contravention of these prize draw rules and any entries made by persons acting fraudulently or attempting to gain unauthorised access to any of EUI Limited’s systems. The decision of EUI Limited as to the validity of entries shall be final.

12. Each winner may be asked (but will not be obliged) to participate in unpaid publicity resulting from this draw.

13. Employees/former employees and their immediate families (including any live-in partners or household members) of EUI Limited, or other group companies of Admiral Group Plc, their subsidiaries, agents or any company associated with the competition and those involved in the promotion are not eligible to enter this prize draw.

14. This prize draw is a promotion of EUI Limited, trading as Diamond. The promoter is EUI Limited, trading as Diamond. Registered in England & Wales with registration number 02686904, and whose registered office is at Capital Tower, Greyfriars Road, Cardiff CF10 3AZ.

15. You can obtain the winners’ names and counties of residence at any time within three months after the date of the draw by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to us at Diamond Prize Draw, Marketing Dept, EUI Limited, Capital Tower, Greyfriars Road, Cardiff, CF10 3AZ.
