Spring workout
With the evenings and mornings still dark it’s easy to come back from work, flop on the sofa and grab the remote control. But now is the time to start working on that summer bikini body. Award winning fitness manager Kelly Edwards has put together an exercise programme designed to give you an effective total body workout that will whip you into shape in no time.
Kelly has been working in the fitness industry for over 17 years and is currently a Fitness Manager for the flagship Royal Berkshire Esporta Club, where she leads a large team of fitness instructors and personal trainers.
This fitness programme uses the new BOSU Ballast Ball. Regular exercise with the Ballast Ball will help you improve your balance, co-ordination and functional strength.
What’s cool about this ball is that it has varying degrees of instability and increased resistance when lifting. What does that mean? Well, it’s a stability ball filled with grains of sand, this unstable load inside the translucent ball shifts when it is moved, which is claimed to produce a more dynamic resistance during lifting and shifting.
Kelly has put together a series of six exercises you can easily do at home.
