Nu fringe
We predicted the fringe was big news for winter and with Kate Moss, as ever, leading the fashion pack. The fringe is still a big trend in 2008, but it has evolved, becoming softer and more flattering.
Celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward, of Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa says: "This spring will see the revival of the fringe continuing, but now the look is softer with well-defined edges – so this means lots of layers and movement."
"Soft sweeping fringes are very face-flattering. A subtle fringe works brilliantly as a graduation between shorter layers and longer length, think of Catherine Zeta Jones who works this look best. Great for most hair types - even curly, this fringe is more forgiving and low-maintenance - it can blend into the bulk of a haircut or can be more defined for extra versatility."
Who does it suit?
Unlike last seasons blunt, geometric fringe we are looking at a much softer cut for spring 2008 – which means it will suit just about any face type. But, it will work best for those with long faces.
